David V. Richards
Managing Director

David V. Richards David is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and past partner of both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen and Co. In his capacity as a senior partner with both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Andersen, David had responsibility for major accounts such as Unocal Canada, Texaco Canada, Methanex Corporation, Acetex Corporation and Maersk (a subsidiary of A.P. Moeller).

David has extensive experience with mergers, acquisitions, purchase investigations, restructuring and financial engineering.

David has served as a director of numerous companies including Boardwalk REIT, Alliance Atlantis Movie Distribution Income Fund, Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities Inc., InternetSecure Inc., Forte Resources Inc., Valiant Energy Inc., Bear Ridge Resources Inc., and Canada Fluorspar Inc. David has chaired Audit Committees, Compensation Committees, numerous Special Committees and has served as Board Chair and Lead Director. He currently serves as a director of Madison PetroGas Ltd. and Wilmington Capital Management Inc.

David is a Past President of the Alberta Chamber of Commerce and a past Vice President of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and over the years has served numerous community-minded charitable organizations.

Joseph F. Killi
Managing Director

Joseph F. Killi Joe is the President & CEO of Wilmington Capital Management Inc. and the President of Rosebridge Capital Corp. Inc., a privately owned company whose principal business includes investment, advisory and merchant banking activities in the real estate industry. Joe co-founded Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities Inc. (“Parkbridge”) in 1998 and was President from its inception until December 2004. Joe was CEO of the Corporation from December 2004 until February 2006 when he was appointed Executive Chairman. Parkbridge was acquired by the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation in 2011 for $790 million. Joe’s real estate experience spans over 30 years, 17 of which were with Trizec Corporation Ltd. (“Trizec”), where he last held the positions of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Trizec held a diverse portfolio of properties located across Canada and the US which included office buildings, shopping centres and a large portfolio of manufactured home Communities in the US, (these properties are currently owned by ELS, a publicly traded US real estate investment trust). Trizec also owned one of North America’s largest portfolios of retirement lodges and nursing homes, with large concentrations in Ontario, Alberta, Pennsylvania and Florida. Joe left Trizec at the end of 1993.

From 1994 to date, Joe remained active in real estate and key initiatives included the successful completion of large real estate workouts (Olympia and York (US) and College Park, Toronto) and establishing two public real estate companies Parkbridge and Realex – which he co-founded. Joe resides in Calgary and is a director of Vermilion Resources Ltd., and Wilmington Capital Management Inc. and a past director of Realex Properties Corp., Gentra Inc., World Financial Properties Inc. and Trizec Corporation Ltd. Joe holds a BSc (Biochemistry), BComm and CA designation.

Sandra D. Coulthard

Sandra D. Coulthard Sandra has been the Controller of Network Capital since October 1997. Prior thereto, Sandra was the Chief Financial Officer for M.L. Cass Petroleum Corp. from March 1996 to February 1997. Ms. Coulthard was self employed as a consultant for various companies and was Controller with Barrington Petroleum Ltd. for several years.

Sandra received a Computer Science Diploma from Mount Royal University in 1984 and has completed level 1-4 courses in the Certified Management Accountant program also at Mount Royal University. Sandra completed the Canadian Securities Course with honours in February 1999.

Sandra manages all facets of accounting, financial and tax reporting for Network Capital and Network Capital's Funds and is responsible for providing comprehensive quarterly and annual financial reports to investors.

Shane W. Grypiuk
Senior Director

Shane W. Grypiuk Shane joined Network Capital in September 2011, as a Senior Director. Prior to joining Network Capital, Shane worked for the Valuations, Forensic & Disputes group at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP where he specialized in valuing businesses and assets in the oil and gas sector. Shane is experienced in valuing various oil and gas businesses including start ups, junior conventional and unconventional E&P companies, shale gas plays, domestic & international resource plays, oil sand projects, and various energy related service businesses.

Shane holds a B.Comm from the University of Saskatchewan, is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.

Chris Killi
Senior Director

Chris Killi Chris serves as the VP Finance of Wilmington Capital Management Inc. overseeing the financing, monitoring of investments, internal controls and financial reporting functions of the company. Chris also acts as CFO of Real Storage Private Trust, an operator of 17 self storage facilities located in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Prior to 2010, Chris was a manager in the Valuations group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he specialized in oil and gas service companies, junior producers and financial service companies. Chris also worked in the Audit group and serviced large international oil and gas conglomerates, financial institutions and information technology clients.

Chris holds a BSc (Physiology, Philosophy) from McGill University, a Master of Management and Professional Accounting from University of Toronto and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.

Timothy R. Tycholis
Senior Director, Reservoir Engineer

Timothy R. Tycholis Tim graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering, in 1981 and a MBA, Finance, in 1985.  From 1981 to 1988, he obtained varied experience in positions of increasing responsibility with Chevron Canada Resources and Texaco Canada Resources.  Primary duties included facilities, reservoir, and evaluations engineering and gas marketing.  Analysis of many of Chevron's key projects provided for a close working relationship with the disciplines of Geology, Land and Accounting as well as regular liason with senior management.

In 1989, Tim joined ARC Financial as a founding employee and shareholder.  As Vice President, Tim was instrumental in assisting with the development of ARC as one of the premier oil and gas boutiques offering advisory and capital services to corporations, institutions, private clients and the Alberta government.

In 1993, Tim became the founder and CEO of Pipestone Petroleum Inc., an oil and gas exploration and development company.  In less than two years, he restructured and refinanced the company, growing it from a dormant shell to a $38 million organization.

Currently, Tim works as an independent businessman engaged in the development of various oil and gas exploration projects.

Jim Gettis
Senior Director, Reservoir Engineer

Jim Gettis Jim is the President and CEO of Optimum Petroleum Services Inc., a provider of engineering services and technology to optimize production from shallow liquid loaded oil and gas wells. From 2005 to 2009, Jim was President, CEO and COO of FairWest Energy Corporation which was listed on the TSX and owned and managed oil and gas properties in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Jim cofounded the ten predecessor companies which eventually culminated in FairWest Energy Corporation.

From 1980 to 1997, Jim founded Bluestone Resources Ltd. Initially Bluestone performed reservoir and economic evaluations for clients requiring financing and later became an owner and operator of 400 boe/d consisting mainly of shallow gas. Bluestone Resources Ltd sold this production in 1997. Bluestone Resources Inc. formed in 1997 is a private holding company for the Gettis family.

Jim began his career will Schlumberger as a well logging engineer and has worked abroad in Egypt and England. Jim worked in production engineering, field operations in Swan Hills, reservoir engineering and drilling operations exploring for shallow gas in Christina Lake with Home Oil. Jim graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and is a Professional Engineer.

Henry G. van der Sloot

Henry G. van der Sloot Henry is currently Executive Chairman and a founder of Strad Energy Services. Strad is a diversified public oil and gas service company operating in both Canada and the United States. In addition, Henry is a board member of Vortex Production Services, Shale Petroleum, and several other private enterprises and non-profit organizations.

Henry is both a chartered accountant (CA) and a chartered financial analyst (CFA). In the past he has held positions as CEO of Banff Caribou Properties Ltd. and Managing Director of Network Capital Management Inc. He is an alumni of the Harvard School of Business Owner President Management Program.

Prior to becoming a businessman, Henry was a concert cellist. He completed his music studies at the Juilliard School of Music in New York and has performed extensively throughout Canada, the US, Europe and Russia.

Brooke N. Wade

Brooke N. Wade Brooke Wade is the President of Wade Capital Corporation, a private company focused on growth through investment opportunities. From 1994 to 2005, Brooke was the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Acetex Corporation, a formerly publicly traded chemical company specializing in acetyls, specialty polymers and films. In July 2005, Acetex was acquired by Celanese Corporation, a transaction valued at approximately US $500 million.

Prior to founding Acetex Corporation, Brooke was founding President and CEO of Methanex Corporation. He also held a number of positions with Ocelot Industries from June 1983 through September 1991, including President, CEO and CFO. In September 1991, Ocelot Industries spun out its oil and gas assets and began a plan of growth through acquisition into what is today Methanex Corporation - the world's largest methanol producer.

Brooke is a member of the World President's Organization and the Dean's Advisory Council of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Brooke serves on the Board of Directors of Griffiths Energy International Inc. and Novinium Inc. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Governors of Crofton House School and is a Director of the Crofton House School Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Aquarium and is a member of their Research Institute. Brooke received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1977.

Richard A.N. Bonnycastle

Richard A.N. Bonnycastle Chairman and President, Cavendish Investing Ltd. Cavendish Investing Ltd. is the vehicle for Dick Bonnycastle's numerous private and public investments. Dick has been investing his capital alongside others since 1956 when he graduated from the University of Manitoba. While he developed and practiced his interest in starting and investing in private companies, Dick also worked for Great West Life Assurance Company and subsequently, Richardson Securities.

Dick was one of the original Limited Partners of the first Oak Capital Partners venture capital funds. Oak Capital provided the original venture funding to Compaq computers among other successful technology companies. Dick currently holds substantial investments in numerous private and public companies and serves on the Boards of many of these companies. These companies include Bar TH Ranching Ltd., National Leasing Group, Mosaic Energy, Twoco Petroleums Ltd. and Stellarton Technologies Inc. Dick has served as Chairman of Bracknell Corporation (1983-90), Chairman of Rupertsland Resources Ltd. (1975-83), Director of TORSTAR Ltd. (1975-82), Chairman of Harlequin Enterprises Ltd., the world's largest publisher of romantic fiction (1968-81), and Director of Western Feedlots Ltd.(1970-78).

He is the publisher of three books, a thoroughbred breeder and a rancher and serves with many charitable, community and environmental organizations. He is a Trustee of the Fort Whyte Center for Environmental Education in Winnipeg and past Chairman of the Institute for Wetland and Waterfowl Research, an international affiliate of Ducks Unlimited. Dick is also one of the original ten founders of the Canadian Parks & Wilderness Association and past Chairman of the Winnipeg YMCA/YWCA Capital Campaign.
